Have you downloaded any of the plugins for Firefox yet? My new fav is one called download helper. It makes it easy to capture videos from the web. It’s not cool (and often impossible) to stream video for instruction on our network. This tool will download videos to your harddrive so they are ready to be used when you need them. It makes it easy to share that perfect video you found at home on YouTube or TeacherTube or Google Video . So far I haven’t met a site that stumped this add on. To download plugins, open FireFox, select the tools menu and then add ons. The first tab will take you to the site, just click on “browse all add ons”. -
TED is a constant source of inspiration for me. Their Top Ten page is a good place to start if you have never visited. www.ted.com -
My delicious bookmarks . Let’s build a network of what we find interesting in our cyber travels. What did I do before delicious? I use it all the time. There are some other products out there too but this one works well and the networking aspect of it makes it great for sharing. -

Not interested in keeping a web page but think you want something really simple to use with your students. Take a look at edublogs. -
Don’t forget about all the goodies shared at FCIT. Did you know there’s a quick link to their site from the bottom of the district’s front page.
